Copyright. How to register a copyright?

Copyrights are legal norms for the protection of intellectual property related to the creation and use of works of art, literature, science and other intellectual works.

To register a copyright, you must submit a properly compiled set of documents and an application for registration of rights to the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine. The copyright registration procedure takes about 1-2 months.

What documents are needed to apply for copyright registration for a work?
1. Copy of the work in material form (e.g. for works of art, literature, photographs, drawings - on paper or electronic media; for music - in music notation, a video, or recording a soundtrack; the source code or the text of a computer program).
2. Data about the author (name, address).
3. The power of attorney on our staff to represent the interests of the applicant in state institutions.
