How to legalize and prepare documents for Kuwait?
If you need to move to Kuwait, get citizenship there, get a job, it’s not enough just to show your documents there. Ukrainian documents are legally valid only in Ukraine. To use them in Kuwait, it is necessary to carry out the procedure of consular legalization.
What is consular legalization in Kuwait?
Consular legalization of documents is a procedure through which foreign documents will have legal force in Kuwait.
This procedure consists of 4 stages:
1. Notarized translation into Arabic or English. **
2. The seal of the Ministry of Justice shall be affixed to the notarized translation;
3. Next - the seal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs;
4. The final stage of consular legalization is the submission of documents to the consular department of the Embassy of Kuwait in Ukraine for affixing the seal of the consulate.
**The exception is a marriage certificate and a Police Clearance Certificate, a certificate of marital status:
1. marriage certificate (the first step is affixing the seal of the Ministry of Justice on the original document, the second step is affixing the seal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, also on the original, and only then - translation);
2. Police Clearance Certificate (the first step is the seal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the original, the second step is a notarized translation)
