Legalization for Turkmenistan
Consular legalization of documents is an official procedure for preparing documents so that they have legal force on the territory of Turkmenistan.
If you want to fully use documents abroad, and more specifically in Turkmenistan, you need to legalize them through Consular legalization.
1. Notarized translation into the Turkmen language. **
2. The seal of the Ministry of Justice shall be affixed to the notarized translation;
3. Next - the seal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs;
4. The final stage of consular legalization is the submission of documents to the consular department of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Ukraine for affixing the seal of the consulate.
Consular legalization of a diploma, Police Clearance Certificate, marriage certificates, birth certificates and other documents issued in Ukraine is done for the reason that documents are not recognized on the territory of Turkmenistan. In order for the documents to be valid, they need to be legalized correctly at the embassy.
** EXCEPTION consists of a marriage certificate and a Police Clearance Certificate, a certificate of marital status:
1. marriage certificate (the first step is affixing the seal of the Ministry of Justice on the original document, the second step is affixing the seal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, also on the original, and only then - translation);
2. Police Clearance Certificate (the first step is the seal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the original, the second step is a notarized translation)
IMPORTANT! Certification of documents in the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of Turkmenistan can be done only in Kyiv. At the same time, the personal presence of the owner of the documents is not required. It is enough to make a power of attorney for the company’s employees, provide the original document and a copy of the passport.
