In continuation of the topic of apostille of various types of documents, we decided to touch on the most relevant today - apostille for a diploma.

In connection with the completion of the fifth year of study by students, most of them hurry to put apostilles on their educational documents in order to get a job in one of the foreign companies.

But you need to know exactly how to put an apostille on such documents and not make a mistake.

What is an apostille for a diploma?

Apostille is an international seal/stamp that confirms the validity of a document (for example, a diploma) outside the country issuing the document, but on the condition that the country where the document is prepared is a party to the Hague Apostille Convention of October 5, 1961.

Why do you need an apostille for a diploma?

For example, if you are preparing education documents to start working in a foreign company, you need an apostille and a translationinto the language of the country where you are preparing the document.

What does the diploma apostille look like?

This is a rectangular stamp with special columns for filling. The columns contain information about the country and institution that issued the diploma, as well as confirmation of its authenticity by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
The stamp itself can be placed on a separate sheet of thick paper, which is then attached to the diploma through special holes. It is attached to a sheet of paper with a stamp by stitching.
Or, if the document has free space, the apostille is pasted in the form of a sticker to the document.

Advice!

First, pay attention to the correct spelling of your first and last name, date of birth, date of commencement of studies and graduation, and also pay attention to the correctly indicated previous institution where the bachelor’s degree was obtained.

If one of these data is incorrectly specified, your document will not pass the preliminary check and will not be apostilled.

If you find such an error, contact the institution where you received your education documents for duplicates. Point out the errors in the documents and wait for the corrected version of the documents. After that, your documents can be submitted for affixing the Apostille stamp.
